Anne Curtis
Anne Curtis Smith (Filipino-Australian) is an actress, television presenter, recording artist and entrepreneur. She received many accolades throughout her career. Her film work has led to her being nominated for eight PMPC Star Awards in the Cinemas category as well as 2 Gawad Urian Awards. Curtis has appeared in a variety of television shows including Hiram Campanerang Kuba (2005) Maging Sino ka Man Dyosa (2009) Green Rose (2009) and Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw (2003). She played the cult Komiks characters Dyesebel in the Mars Ravelo show Dyesebel. The actress was also host of the show It's Showtime an afternoon variety show (2009-2020). Anne Curtis is a Filipina Australian actress also known as a model, host and TV actress. There have been a variety of accolades throughout her career. Two FAMAS Awards have been given to Curtis. She also she has won the Luna Award and two Metro Manila Film Festival Awards. Additionally, she has been awarded 8 PMPC Star Awards nominations and two Gawad Urian Awards. Curtis has appeared in a number of TV programs like Hiram (2004-2005) Kampanerang Kuba (2005) Maging Sino Dyosa (2008) Green Rose (2011) and Kailangan Ko'y Ikaw (2013). She portrayed in 2014 the well-known Komiks character Dyesebel in Mars Ravelo's Dyesebel. She was also the host of It's Showtime, a noontime variety program (2009-2020). Curtis is the daughter of Carmencita Ojales, a Filipina native to Bolinao Pangasinan, and James Ernest Curtis Smith, an Australian attorney. Born in Yarrawonga located in Victoria, Australia. In 1982, her father got married to Ojales. Jasmine the younger sister works as an actress. Clare died of an illness of the heart in 2007, she was barely four months old.
