Born and raised in Pennsylvania Molly was a professional actor at age thirteen at Philadelphia the Prince Music Theater in a production of The Snow Queen. Following that, Molly portrayed Little Red Ridinghood for the Arden Theater s Into the Woods and received a nomination for the Barrymore Award. In 2002, she performed the same role in Into the Woods in Broadway at the age of 15 and received an Drama League Award nomination. Molly performed on Broadway during the 2004 revival of Fiddler on the Roof. She then attended Princeton University and was a member in the Triangle Club. She graduated with a Bachelor's Degree in the year 2008. in Religion. In university, Molly was the first actress to make her debut on stage as a character in Disney College Road Trip playing Wendy Greenhut. After graduating Molly appeared in a variety of Off-Broadway productions, including End Days at Ensemble Studio Theater as well as in a few TV shows, including Royal Pains and an HBO Pilot The Wonderful Maladys. Molly has appeared in regional plays like The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee as part of Barrington Stage Company's production and NSH Music Theatre's production of 2008 as well as the Westport Country Playhouse 2010 production of The Diary of Anne Frank where she played Anne. Molly is most well-known for her part in the film Paranormal Activity 2 in which she portrays a teenaged daughter Ali as well as the ABC comedy created by Jack Burditt, and featuring Tim Allen entitled Last Man Standing
